Karnire is a village and grama panchayat in the Mangaluru district of Karnataka state, India. It is located on the south bank of the Shambavi River. There is a population of about 920 people in which 500 are female whereas 400 are male as of the 2011 census. There is a literacy rate of about 83.91% as of 2011 census.
There is private bus service to towns and villages like Padubidri, Adve, Palimar, Kinnigoli, Kateel, Mangaluru, Bajpe, and Mangaluru International Airport.
