Kampala Library and Information Centre also called KCCA Library or Kampala Public Library is one of the oldest public libraries in Uganda. [1] It was established on .....in accordance with the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Act of 2010. [2]

Background

Kampala Library and Information Center is located at KCCA Headquarters (City Hall) and has two branches around the city that is to say the Lubaga Division Urban Council Public Library as one of the most functional branches. It is also known as KCCA Library, and is one of the oldest public libraries in Uganda. It serves as a resource for the residents of Kampala, providing access to a range of educational materials and information services.

Events and Services

KLIC comprises two main sections: the Adults Library and the Children’s Library. [1] The Adults Library caters to individuals aged 13 years and above, while the Children’s Library is designed for young readers between 4 to 12 years old. [1] Children under 5 may use the library if accompanied by an adult. Community Reading Tent (CRT) [3]
