Justin Mark Richards (born May 10, 1987) is an American musician, singer-songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist and backing vocalist for rock band A Rocket to the Moon. Before joining the group, he fronted the band, Brighten. Following the disbandment of A Rocket to the Moon, he joined country pop music duo Dan + Shay as a touring musician, as well as starting his solo career.

Career

Brighten and A Rocket to the Moon (2004–2013)

In 2004, Richards formed Brighten, along with his brother Jimmy and Alex Draper. [2] They released their debut EP, Ready When You Are in 2005, and were soon discovered by J.T. Woodruff who signed them to his label, Carbon Copy Media. [3] On March 20, 2007, the group released their debut studio album, King vs Queen. [4]
