Joshua Abiola James (born 8 February 1983), better known by his stage name Jaytime, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and monumental instrumentalist.
Jaytime was born on 8 February 1983 in Badagry is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He also goes by the moniker Sweetvibe. He grew up in Badagry, where he witnessed the town's fishing, commerce, and tourism industries firsthand. He started music as a drummer. [2]
He rose to prominence following the success of his single Come to Me in 2020. [3]
Jaytime, who draws his inspiration from Fela Kuti [4] dropped his debut single Come To Me on 28th October, 2020. [5]
He released his second single Kiss n Tell on 25 June 2021 [6] before featuring BNXN on the remix which was released on September 17, 2021. The official video was directed by TG Omori. [7] [8] [9] [10] Kizz N Tell remix featuring BNXN ushered in a sporadic increase in his fan base. [11]
In January 2023, Jaytime dropped a solo-performed debut EP titled Sweet Vibes Vol.1. [12] In an exclusive interview, he stated that the debut EP contains six tunes that explored several sides of his personality. [13] [14]
