"The Golden Age" ("Златен век") is the highest honorary award bestowed by the Ministry of Culture (Bulgaria) for exceptional contributions to Bulgarian culture and the development of cultural cooperation. [1]
The award was established by the Ministry of Culture on April 11th, 2007, by Ministry Decree No. 2. On October 15, 2010, vision for the honorary award was updated. It is presented to outstanding personalities who have demonstrated excellence, creativity, and dedication in their respective domains. Recipients of The Golden Age (Златен век) are recognized for their valuable contributions to the enrichment and promotion of Bulgarian culture, as well as for fostering cultural cooperation and dialogue.
