Geofrey was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania. [3] He holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Columbia University [4] and a Master's degree in Film and TV Production from the University of Southern California [5]
As and undergraduate, Geofrey worked as a development intern at Cappa Productions under the mentorship of Barbara DeFina and Martin Scorsese. Subsequently, he relocated to Los Angeles to pursue his graduate studies and worked in development at The Steve Tisch Company. [6] As part of his studies at USC, Geofrey directed and edited his thesis film, Big Time, [7] which made its debut at USC's First Look Film Festival in 2004.
In 2014, Geofrey was admitted into the American Cinema Editors (ACE). [8] He has edited over 100 episodes of television and 3 feature films. He played a pivotal role in editing all seven seasons of ABC's popular fantasy drama, Once Upon a Time [9], as well as directed. [10] [11] [12] He served as editor and executive producer for the Feature film Things Never Said [13], collaborating with writer/director Charles Murray. Additionally, he edited the thrillers Careful What You Wish For [14] and, his second collaboration with Charles Murray, The Devil You Know. [15]
At present, Geofrey resides in Los Angeles, where he continues to make significant contributions to the world of film and television. [16] [17]
