Cyriac Pappachan (born 9 November 1982) is a consultant infertility specialist and laparoscopic surgeon based in Kerala. They were included in the Asia Book of Records after successfully performing laparoscopic surgery (keyhole surgery) to remove a uterus weighing 4.420 kg with multiple fibroid tumors. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Pappachan was born on November 9, 1982 in Kattanam, Pallickal panchayat, Alappuzha. He received his secondary education at Mount Bethany English Medium High School in Mylapra, Pathanamthitta. MBBS from Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Bijapur, Karnataka, in the year 2009. In 2012, she received her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Annamalai University in Tamil Nadu. His mentor was Dr. Biswajith Chakraverty, who was a renowned teacher, guide, and philosopher. Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery—Gynaecology from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore, in 2013, under Dr. B. Ramesh, who is a world-famous laparoscopic surgeon. Masters in reproductive medicine, NHS Homerton, London Diploma in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy at CICE, France World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons, New Delhi, awarded him a fellowship and diploma in minimal access surgery.
