Brazão Mazula is a Mozambican academic and author, born October 18, 1944 in Niassa, Mozambique. [1] He served as a catholic priest in Mozambique before completing his doctorate and becoming the Rector of Universidade Eduardo Mondlane. [2], [1] Some of his is best know published work includes, Eleições, Democracia e Desenvolvimento published in 1995 and Educação, Cultura e Ideologia em Moçambique 1975-1985 published in 1995. [3] He has published numerous books. His work focuses on Mozambican education, politics, philosophy and history. [4], [5], [6]
Mazula was the first President of Mozambique’s National Elections Commission after Mozambique became a multi-party democracy in 1994. [7], [8]
He served as the Rector of Universidade Eduardo Mondlane from Junho de 1995 - 3 de Fevereiro de 2007.
From 1999 to 2002 he served as the President of AULP | Associação das Universidades de Língua Portuguesa. [9]
