Born in Almelo [1], Meijer lived in Enschede. [2] He competes in the World Padel Tour. [4] In January 2024 he emigrated to Terrassa, Spain to become a better player as padel in Spain is at a higher level than in the Netherlands. [3] In 2024 he became for the seventh time Dutch national champion with Sten Richters. [3]
