The Barber Professor of Jurisprudence is one of the oldest professorships at the University of Birmingham, UK. It is awarded to a scholar whose work makes exceptional contributions to public law, widely conceived.
The Chair was created in 1935 by Martha Constance Hattie Barber, wife of Sir Henry Barber, 1st Baronet. [1] It is one of four professorships in the University funded by the Henry Barber Trust. [2]
The current Barber Professor of Jurisprudence is Professor Fiona de Londras (2024-). [3] She succeeded Prof. Anthony Arnull KC following his retirement.
