Asrar Rashid is a British Islamic scholar, author, and translator of classical Islamic texts. He is a staunch defender of the schools of classical Sunni Islam, [1] adhering to the Ash'ari creed himself. [2] He is also outspoken against Zionism. [3]
He began his studies in Birmingham, [4] under the tutelage of Shaykh Rasul Baksh Sai'di, before advancing to studying in Damascus, specifically at the Grand Umayyad Mosque. [5]
From amongst his teachers are the likes of Shaykh Nur al-Din 'Itr, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi and Shaykh Abbas ibn 'Alawi al-Maliki.
In 2023, Asrar Rashid authored Intellectual Intifada: Blueprint for Restoring the Caliphate.
