Elections in Connecticut |
---|
General elections in the U.S state of Connecticut were held on November 6, 2020 at several levels ranging from the 2020 United States presidential election to various Congressional and local elections.
In the 2020 United States presidential election in Connecticut, the two main candidates were Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Biden and the Democratic Party won the State of Connecticut by a margin of 59.3% to 39.2%. [1]
This state has become a stronghold for the Democratic Party as shown throughout their statewide elections. All five House districts went to the Democratic Party. [2]
The primary elections were originally scheduled for April 28, 2020. On March 19, they were moved to June 2 due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. [3] Then on April 17, they were further pushed back to August 11. [4]
