Dmytro Derevytskyy (Ukrainian: Дмитро Деревицький) is a Ukrainian entrepreneur, founder and chairman of the board of directors of the
ALLO group of companies.
Early years and education
Dmytro Derevytskyy was born on December 23, 1973, in
Dnipro, the Ukrainian
SSR. Dmytro's father, Hryhorii Derevytskyi, was an entrepreneur who organized one of the first construction cooperatives in the city. Dmytro's mother Hanna worked as a teacher of Ukrainian and English.[1][2]
In 1995, Derevytskyy graduated from
Dnipro State University with a degree in economics.[3] In 2005, he graduated from the International Institute of Management and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA).[4]
Career
Since the age of 18, Derevytskyy has been engaged in entrepreneurship.[5] In 1996, he opened two home appliance stores.[6] With his father, Hryhorii Derevytskyy, he founded the company, ALLO in 1998.[7] In 2006, he launched its online store
allo.ua.[8]
Derevytskyy ran for the post of head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine in 2015 and was shortlisted.[9][10]
Since 2016, he has been developing the ALLO marketplace. He is responsible for the strategy, financial, and legal issues of the ALLO group of companies.[11] Derevytskyy participated in the 2018 VI Annual Retail & Development Business Summit,[12] and writes a column on engineering, technology and economics on the NV Business website.[13]
In July–August 2023, ALLO transferred UAH 100 from each smartphone sold to help manufacture modern prostheses for the Ukrainian military and patients of the
Superhumans Center, and eventually donated UAH 15 million for prosthetics.[19][20]
In January 2024, ALLO Marketplace raised about UAH 4 million during the Touching Children's Dreams charity event and purchased 1,000 tablets for children affected by the war.[23][24]
In June 2024, ALLO funded a summer camp in the Carpathians for 70 children with hearing impairments, children who returned from occupied territories and deportation, and those who lost their parents due to the war.[25][26]
Personal life
Derevytskyy is married to Natalia, a photographer. The couple has three children.[27][28]
