Wine region in Romania
The Dealu Mare wine region is located within the
Muntenia area of
Romania.

[2] It is located around the municipality of
Valea Călugărească
[3] in
Prahova County, best known for its red wines,
[4] and the municipality of
Pietroasele
[5] in
Buzău County, best known for white wines.
[6] Typically identified as one of the most important wine regions in Romania,
[7] it encompasses about 400 square kilometres under the
Southern Carpathians.
