Genus of ray-finned fish
Chuhsiungichthys is an extinct
genus of
ichthyodectiform
ray-finned fish that lived in freshwater environments in what is now
Yunnan,
China, and
Kyushu,
Japan during the
Cretaceous.

Mesoclupea, primarily by having a comparatively more anteriorly-placed dorsal fin.
