The district consists of one city ( Chortoq), 12 urban-type settlements (Muchum, Koroskon, Koʻshan, Ayqiron, Alixon, Pastki Peshqoʻrgʻon, Yuqori Peshqoʻrgʻon, Ora ariq, Baliqli koʻl, Xazratishox) and 9 rural communities. [1]
