The China Worker Net, [3] or Chinese Workers Website, [4] was a Chinese left-wing [5] website dedicated to the Chinese working class. [6] It was founded in Beijing [7] on May 1, 2005 [8] by a group calling themselves " socialists". [9] The editor-in-chief of the site was Yan Yuanzhang. [10]

China Worker Net ( www.zggr.org) claimed to truly represent the workers, peasants, soldiers, and communist ideology. [10] The website made sharp criticisms of laborer and peasant policies. [11]

Shut down

On February 22, 2006, the China Worker Net was ordered to be shut down by the Chinese government. [12]
