More subcats?

Do we need category:Animated child characters with sub-cats Category:Animated child television characters and Category:Animated child film characters? If so, are those the best names for them? - Fayenatic (talk) 21:50, 22 May 2008 (UTC) reply

As a matter of fact, I was pondering this very question -- and I think we probably should have at least one sub-cat. However, after looking through the parent cat, Category:Film characters, I was surprised to find out that there's no overall sub-cat for "characters in animated films". So I suppose we'll need to create that, as well -- along with serving as a parent cat for "Animated child characters", it would also bring some order to Category:Film characters. But let me give some thought to the exact best name for this particular sub-cat. Cgingold ( talk) 22:08, 22 May 2008 (UTC) reply
I just created Category:Child characters in animated films -- it's better grammatically, and also consistent with how the other sub-cats are formulated. Still thinking about the other two, though. Perhaps Category:Child characters in animation? Cgingold ( talk) 09:47, 23 May 2008 (UTC) reply
How about Category:Child animated characters in television & Category:Child cartoon characters in film? Or something along those lines? For An Angel ( talk) 21:29, 23 May 2008 (UTC) reply

Under 18 or under 21

We need a solid answer on what defines a child according to these categories. It is getting really confusing, not to mention overlap with the teenage character categories. Placed it here since it applies to all of them. (Oinkers42) ( talk) 00:16, 6 June 2020 (UTC) reply
