Rationale

We need a classification that includes all minerals. Nickel-Strunz, New Dana and Hey's Chemical Index of Minerals use a similar backbone. We have a somewhat different category tree and there is always clean up to do. We do not need a copyright violation discussion. Kievlenko classification

There is a classification of gemstones by E. Ya. Kievlenko that is shown on many Wikipedia pages but for which there appears to be no explanation. Could someone provide one? Bill ( talk) 23:48, 19 April 2023 (UTC) reply
