Hinzman is from
Hammond, Wisconsin where he attended Saint Croix Central High School located in his hometown of Hammond.[1] In Hinzman's senior season, he notched 54 tackles with 16 going for a loss, and two sacks. For his performance in his senior year, he was named the Wisconsin state small school defensive player of the year.[2] Hinzman would decide to commit to play
college football at the
Ohio State University over
Wisconsin.[3][4]
College career
In Hinzman's first year in 2022 he would reshirt and not appear in any games.[5] During the spring and summer practices in 2023, Hinzman competead for the starting center job with Louisiana-Monroe transfer Victor Culter.[6][7] Ultimately, Hinzman would earn the Buckeyes starting center job and opened the season as the starter for their week one matchup versus
Indiana.[8][9]
