Mariz e Barros (F203) will be the fourth Tamandaré-class stealth guided-missile frigate for the Brazilian Navy.
Mariz e Barros is part of a program that was created in 2017 with the main purpose of replacing the Niterói-class frigates in operation since 1975 and the Type 22s acquired second-hand from the UK in the 1990s. [9] [10] [6]
