Anurag Sharma (born 16 November 1964) is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician and Second Term Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha from Jhansi- Lalitpur constituency of Uttar Pradesh. [1]


BACKGROUND:-

Mr. Anurag Sharma is one of India’s leading industrialists in the field of Ayurveda. He was born on November 16, 1964, in the Rajasthani family of the late Vaidyaraj Pt. Ramnarayan Sharma, Founder and Managing Director of the Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan Pvt. Ltd. Starting with a modest internship at Shakti Offset and a chartered accountant firm, he went on to eventually take charge of the Baidyanath Jhansi Branch as Chief Executive. During this period, he modernized the company by introducing various advanced manufacturing technologies, thereby taking it to new heights. Under his dynamic leadership, the company is now a household name across India. Mr. Anurag Sharma has traveled widely abroad to promote and lecture on ‘Ayurveda’ in various countries, including France, Spain, Holland, the U.S.A., and Great Britain.

Dr. Sharma was associated with many social, cultural, religious, educational, and sports organizations. He was the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Rani Laxmibai Public School, Jhansi. He was the most well-known philanthropist and social worker in the Bundelkhand region. He served over half a dozen trusts and was widely recognized as the leader of the movement to set up a new state of Bundelkhand. He had served twice as a member of the Indian Parliament.
