Anopolis ( Ancient Greek: Ἀνώπολις) was a town and polis (city-state) [1] of ancient Crete. [2] Stephanus of Byzantium claims Anopolis an earlier name of, rather than a predecessor settlement to, Araden (Ἀραδήν) [3]
Its site is located near modern Anopoli. [2] [4]
