Amadou Koné (born 14 May 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ligue 1 club Reims. Born in Mali, he represents the Ivory Coast at youth international level.
Koné is a youth product of the Malian club Afrique Football Élite. [1] In March 2023, he was named "Player of the Tournament" at the 2023 African Youth Cup. [2]
In July 2023, Koné transferred to the Ligue 1 club Reims, initially joining the second team. [3] He made his first team debut on 22 October 2023, in a substitute appearance, against Toulouse.[ citation needed] He made his first start in a Coupe de France match against Sochaux on 21 January 2024. [4]
In November 2023, he was called up to the Ivory Coast U23, but was not able to attend. [5] In March 2024, he was called up for a friendly against France U23. [6]
