A young artist in New York City accepts guardianship of his two best friends' young daughters after their parents perish in the September 11 attacks. [3] Eleven years later, he moves back to his hometown of Buffalo, New York to raise the two girls after suffering from the financial strains of living in the City. [2]
Principal photography began on July 27, 2015, in Manhattan. Filming moved to Buffalo, New York on August 1, 2015.
