Alikhan ( Kurdish: ئالیخان, romanized: Alîxan) is a village in the sub-district of Kani Masi in Dohuk Governorate in Kurdistan Region, Iraq. It is located north of Amedi [1] [2] near the southeastern Turkey border. [3] The Village is inhabited by Kurds of the Deshtani ( Deştan) Clan, [4] and was formerly also home to a number of Assyrians prior to their relocation to Shmaila in the 20th century. [5] [6]
