Akebäck is a populated area, a socken (not to be confused with parish), on the Swedish island of Gotland. [3] It comprises the same area as the administrative Akebäck District, established on 1 January 2016. [4]
Akebäck is situated in the central part of Gotland. [5] It is the smallest of the Gotland sockens. [6] The medieval Akebäck Church is located in the socken. [7] As of 2019 [update], Akebäck Church belongs to Akebäck parish in Romaklosters pastorat. [8] [9]
One of the asteroids in the asteroid belt, 11533 Akebäck, is named after this place. [10]
