George Gilbert Scott, consecrated.

Vienna State Opera, constructed by
Josef Hlávka to designs by
August Sicard von Sicardsburg and
Eduard van der Nüll. van der Nüll hanged himself in 1868 in disappointment at the public reaction to the design and von Sicardsburg died of tuberculosis a few months later.
