The 1809 New Jersey gubernatorial election was held on 30 October 1809 in order to elect the Governor of New Jersey. Incumbent Democratic-Republican Governor Joseph Bloomfield was unanimously re-elected by the New Jersey General Assembly as he ran unopposed. [1]

General election

On election day, 30 October 1809, incumbent Democratic-Republican Governor Joseph Bloomfield was unanimously re-elected by the New Jersey General Assembly as he ran unopposed, thereby retaining Democratic-Republican control over the office of Governor. Bloomfield was sworn in for his eighth term that same day. [2]
