Ălgase Nature Reserve is a nature reserve which is located in Harju County, Estonia. [1]
The area of the nature reserve is 50 ha. [2]
The protected area was founded in 1960 to protect Ălgase cliff and oak forest. [1] In 2006, the protected area was designated to the landscape conservation area. [2]
The cliff contains excavations created for the Ălgase phosphorite mine in 1923-1938. The caves are inhabited by bats for sheltering during the winter.
